Southern University Marching Band featured at WCHS prep rally Sept. 20

WHITE CASTLE - Members of the Southern University "Human Jukebox" Marching Band will participate in the WCHS pep rally on Friday to celebrate the recent academic partnership of Southern University and White Castle High School.

To begin the celebration, White Castle High School students are participating in a blue and gold week leading up to the pep rally, which is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

WCHS cheerleaders and football players will be recognized in preparation for the football game against Donaldsonville High on Friday Night and the special performance marching band from Southern University will entertain the student body, faculty and guests.

Lawrence Jackson, Southern University Director of Bands and Dr. Joseph Meyinsee, Chairman of the Math and Science Education Doctoral Program have worked with Gail Edwards, Southern University Liaison and Dean of Students and Academic Affairs and Charley Handy, Principal of White Castle High School to make this a fun experience for the students.
