Doty selected River Parishes Community College Chancellor

BATON ROUGE - Dr. Dale Doty was unanimously selected as the second chancellor of River Parishes Community College (RPCC) today by the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) Board of Supervisors.

Joe May, LCTCS president, made the recommendation to the board during a Special Meeting of the Board's Executive Committee.

Doty is currently the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Florence Darlington Technical College (FDTC) in Florence, South Carolina, and will assume responsibilities as RPCC Chancellor in mid November.

River Parishes Community College is an open-admission, two-year, post-secondary public institution serving the river parishes. The college provides transferable courses and curricula up to and including Certificates and Associates degrees and comprehensive career and technical education training.

River Parishes Community College also partners with the communities it serves by providing programs for personal, professional, and academic growth.


System colleges include: Baton Rouge Community College, Bossier Parish Community College, Central Louisiana Technical Community College, Delgado Community College, Fletcher Technical Community College, Louisiana Delta Community College, Northshore Technical Community College, Northwest Louisiana Technical College, Nunez Community College, River Parishes Community College, South Central Louisiana Technical College, South Louisiana Community College and SOWELA Technical Community College.
