WHITE CASTLE - The White Castle High School Alumni Federation would like to invite you to share in their Homecoming 2013 Celebration as they commemorate the memories cherished from the Old White Castle High School Gymnasium built in 1937 now known as the White Castle Community Center.

This facility will soon be renovated into a more modern community center for the Town of White Castle.

The Bulldog Nation would like to take time to remember, reflex, and rejoice over all the precious memories, which were born in this facility while apart of White Castle High School.

The gymnasium was sold to the Town of White Castle in 1992, but still remained a vital part of White Castle High.

This special tribute will kick-off our alumni weekend of events on Thursday, Oct. 10 in the old school gym as we host our "Throwback Thursday Basketball Game" with our own WCHS Bulldogs' Alumni Team verses East Iberville's Alumni Team formally known as the Sunshine High Tigers.

At halftime, the Bulldog Nation will recognize the Louisiana AA State Basketball Champions of 1983 as we celebrate their 30th Year Anniversary.

Coach John Bueche and the team will be present as our honored guest for the festivities in the facility in which they played their way to the championship.

Special tributes and acknowledgements will be given in memory of this historical event.

We will continue the celebration with our annual Homecoming Tailgate Party Oct. 11 in which many of our alumni members, family and friends will showcase maroon and grey shirts in honor of the 85-year gym legacy.

The school's homecoming parade will start line-up at 3 p.m.

The Homecoming football game will kick-off at Rocky Ourso Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m. as the Bulldogs take on district and parish rivals East Iberville.

The Official Alumni Dance Party will commence in the White Castle Community Center immediately following the game.

Come out and share this spectacular event. If you have any questions, contact Alumni Chairpersons Angelia O. Elzy 225-716-1653 or Joyce G. Martin 225-936-6876.
