24th Annual Wooden Boat Festival Oct 12-13

MADISONVILLE - The 24th Annual Wooden Boat Festival, presented by Michelob Ultra, will again be held along the banks of the scenic Tchefuncte River in Madisonville Oct. 12-13.

Attendees will enjoy live local music, mouth-watering food, arts and crafts, Children’s Village, the ever-popular Toyota Quick ’n’ Dirty Boat-Building Contest and a classic car show.

Gates open at 10 a.m. Water Street closes at 6 p.m. Bands run Saturday night from 6:30 - 10 p.m.

The family-friendly, fun-filled event is the primary fundraiser supporting the educational and cultural programming and exhibits of the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum.

“The 24th Annual Wooden Boat Festival is on track to be our best festival,” said museum executive director Don Lynch.
