Louis Dreyfus Commodities export elevator celebrates grand opening

PORT ALLEN - The recently completed Louis Dreyfus Commodities export elevator and grain docks was celebrated with a grand opening ceremony inside the port's warehouse overlooking the Mississippi River on Tuesday.

This export elevator will be the company's flagship export facility on the Mississippi and will provide additional access to international markets for Louisiana farmers.

Investment by LDC in construction, expansion and upgrades to the grain elevator and dock exceeded $100 million.
