Atchafalaya Basinkeeper offering workshop Oct. 10

PIERRE PART - The Atchafalaya Basinkeeper is offering a free workshop to educate users of the Atchafalaya Basin about laws that protect the wetlands and the public's right to access navigable waters of the U.S.

The seminar is being sponsored by the Town of Henderson, the Louisiana Crawfish Producers Association - West and the Environmental Protection Agency.

The workshop will be held Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pierre Part Public Library located at 3103 Lee Drive (La. 70).

Attempts have been made to limit fishermen's access to large areas of the basin.
