Iberville Parish Library presents 43rd Annual Acadian ArtShow

PLAQUEMINE - The Iberville Parish Library presents its forty-third annual Acadian ArtShow at the J. Allan Nadler Building located at 24605 J. Gerald Berret Blvd.
The art show attracts artists from all over south Louisiana in both professional and non-professional divisions. The art is all original work and cannot be copies of other artists' work or have been entered in previous Acadian ArtShow competitions.
Each year over 200 original art paintings and drawings are displayed, including oil paintings, drawings, watercolors and acrylic paintings.
Most of this artwork is for sale at reasonable prices. This is a fine opportunity to see quality local art and to buy original art to decorate your home, office or camp.
The Acadian ArtShow will be displayed at the Main Library in Plaquemine beginning Saturday, Oct. 12 through Saturday, Oct. 19.
A public reception for the artists will be held in the Library meeting room, Sunday, Oct. 20, from 2 - 4 p.m. It will feature Kaycee Keller, this year's Miss Evangeline.
Members of the Plaquemine Service League will be serving refreshments and ribbons for first, second and third place will be awarded.
Cash awards will be given to the grand prize and first-place winners made possible by a donation from Syngenta of St. Gabriel.
Gift certificates for second and third-place winners will be presented by the Friends of the Iberville Public Libraries.
