PLAQUEMINE - The Iberville Museum will host a Lunchtime Lecture featuring Louisiana State Librarian Rebecca Hamilton on Wednesday, Oct. 16 beginning at noon.

Hamilton will discuss the upcoming Louisiana Book Festival as well as the many resources available to the public at our local libraries.

Hamilton was appointed State Librarian in 2005 by Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu. The appointment made her Louisiana's fourth State Librarian in the agency's 82-year history and the youngest State Librarian in the nation.

She was reappointed by Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne in 2010. Hamilton works with agencies and individuals at all levels of government to improve library services statewide to the people of Louisiana.

The Iberville Museum is located at 57735 Main Street, Plaquemine. Admission to the lecture is free.
