District Attorney's office reports multiple convictions

PLAQUEMINE – District Attorney Richard J. Ward Jr. reported multiple convictions before Judge William Dupont on Oct. 1.

- Richard Miller, 34, 35500 La. 75, Plaquemine, was convicted of theft of motor vehicle, distribution of hydrocodone and theft of $1,500 or more and sentenced to five years at the department of corrections.

- Carl Battiste, 52, 58465 Capt. T.T. Harris, Plaquemine, was convicted of simple burglary and sentenced to two years at the department of corrections.

- Timothy Simoneaux, 27, 62750 A Bayou Jacob Road, Plaquemine, was convicted of theft over $1,500 and sentenced to one year at the department of corrections.

- Keith Bosley, 21, 24816 Ferdinand St., Plaquemine, was convicted of felony theft over $500. Sentence deferred to Oct. 30.

- Dexter Allen, 20, 10305 Lyons Ave., Maringouin, was convicted of aggravated battery and sentenced to five years at the department of corrections, which was suspended. Placed on supervised probation for five years.

- Devin Bell, 21, 57665 Truehope Lane, Lot #A, Plaquemine, was convicted of simple burglary and sentenced to two years at the department of corrections, which was suspended. Placed on supervised probation for two years.

- Jeremiah Georgetown, 18, 24205 Engolio St., Plaquemine, was convicted of principal to illegal possession of stolen firearms and sentenced to two years at the department of corrections, which was suspended. Placed on supervised probation for two years.

- Jonathan Jordan, 27, 8031 Clayton St., Addis, was convicted of possession with intent to distribute schedule I substance and sentenced to three years at the department of corrections, which was suspended. Placed on supervised probation for three years.
