BATON ROUGE - BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo will host its 17th annual in-house Boo at the Zoo on Oct. 19, 20, 26 and 27.

This merry, not scary trick-or-treat extravaganza has become Baton Rouge's largest trick-or-treat event, and is expected to draw more than 30,000 visitors from across the metro region.

"What could be more fun than trick-or-treating with the animals?" said Phil Frost, Zoo Director. "Boo at the Zoo is a wonderful way for families across the region to enjoy safe, off-the-street trick-or-treating while experiencing all the wonders that wildlife and nature have to offer."

Aside from the more than twenty trick-or-treat stations, activities will include a Halloween Hay Maze, Merry-Not-Scary Boo Den, Ed-Zoo-Cation Station, Spooky Train Ride and Safari Photo Booth.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Zoo's Flamingo Café, Rotolo's Pizzeria, All Star Catering and Sno-Mobile of La.

All children in attendance will receive a free trick-or-treat bag.

Admission gates will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Zoo grounds close at 5 p.m. Regular Zoo admission applies.
