Authorities arrest two on drug charges

PLAQUEMINE – The Iberville Sheriff's Office and Law Enforcement Against Drugs Task Force recently arrested two people on drug related counts, Sheriff Brett Stassi said Tuesday.

James Johnson, 22, 24385 James St., Plaquemine was arrested on Oct. 10 for possession with intent to distribute three grams of crack cocaine.

William Dean, 59, 39740 La. 75, Plaquemine was arrested on Oct. 10 for possession of cocaine and open container.

The suspects were arrested while authorities were on patrol in Plaquemine.
