Multiple defendants plead guilty to drug charges

PLAQUEMINE – District Attorney Richard J. Ward Jr. reports the following individuals pled guilty during the week of Oct. 21.
-John Alexander Jr., 21, 58437 Nats Alley, Plaquemine, pled guilty to two counts possession with intent to distribute schedule II substance, possession with intent to distribute schedule V substance, possession of unidentifiable firearm, attempted possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of schedule I substance. Arrested March 13. Sentenced to 45 years in prison.
-Hosey Banks, 19, 24900 Patreau Lane, Plaquemine, pled guilty to two counts distribution of schedule I substance, possession of schedule II substance and possession of schedule I substance. Arrested March 7. Sentenced to five years in prison.
-Megan Dangerfield, 33, 4745 Point Clair Road, Plaquemine, pled guilty to possession of cocaine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Sentenced to six years probation.
-Gordon Dorsey, 21, 22750 Blakeney Drive, Plaquemine, pled guilty to distribution of schedule I substance. Arrested March 7. Sentenced to five years probation.
-Haylee Kelly, 25, 58645 Delacroix St., Plaquemine, pled guilty to possession of schedule II substance. Sentenced to one year probation.
-Misty Lambert, 40, 4745 Point Clair Road, St. Gabriel, pled guilty to possession of schedule II substance. Arrested Jan. 27, 2011. Sentenced to three years probation.
-Michael Layman Pierce, 42, 22505 Gloria Road, Plaquemine, pled guilty to possession of schedule I substance. Arrested Dec. 13, 2012. Sentenced to one year in prison.
-Telly S. Watkins, 38, 3327 DeArmas St., New Orleans, pled guilty to monetary instrument abuse. Arrested Feb. 25. Sentenced to five years probation.
-Gerald Edwards, 48, 33604 Bowie St., White Castle, pled guilty to possession of schedule II substance, possession of drug paraphernalia. Arrested June 21. Also pled guilty to two counts of simple burglary. Sentenced to eight years in prison.
-Mark A. Pierce, 45, 38357 Pierce Road, Gonzales, pled guilty to possession of schedule IV substance and possession of schedule II substance. Arrested Sept. 1, 2010. Sentenced to six years probation.
