Plaquemine Garden Club meeting features artist, author Parker

The Plaquemine Garden Club held its regular meeting Oct. 8 at the Iberville Parish Library. Guest speaker Laurie Parker, Mississippi artist and author, presented a program based upon her children's book “Garden Alphabet, A Book for Children and Adults.”

The Plaquemine Garden Club held its regular meeting Oct. 8 at the Iberville Parish Library. Guest speaker Laurie Parker, Mississippi artist and author, presented a program based upon her children's book "Garden Alphabet, A Book for Children and Adults." She also introduced her first novel "The Matchstick Cross" to the club members. It was Parker's first visit to the city of Plaquemine.
