St. Gabriel man arrested in Baton Rouge bank robberies

BATON ROUGE – A St. Gabriel man suspected in two bank robberies was captured and arrested on Friday by Baton Rouge Police.

Labrick Refuge, 46, 6200 Margaret Drive, St. Gabriel, was taken into custody two hours following the robbery of Regions Bank on Jefferson Highway that led to a vehicle chase and foot pursuit in the parking lot of St. Jude Catholic Church on Highland Road.

Refuge is also a suspect in the robbery of another Regions Bank branch on Siegen Lane Nov. 1.

The suspect was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on two counts of first-degree robbery.
