Plaquemine woman struck by vehicle dies

PLAQUEMINE - A 60-year-old woman died Monday morning after she was struck by a vehicle.

Carolyn Williams was standing in the turning lane on Belleview Road attempting to cross over the west bound lane when she was struck at approximately 6:15 a.m.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

No citations were issued but the investigation remains ongoing.
