BATON ROUGE - BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo will host its Fourth Annual ZooLights event from Nov. 29 through Dec. 30.

Featuring a larger-than-life trail of lights through the Zoo, ZooLights has quickly become a new Baton Rouge holiday tradition for couples and families alike.

With some displays reaching upwards of 30 feet, the more than 50 illuminated spectaculars are located throughout the Zoo and represent animals as well as holiday themed displays.

Included among the many animated displays are the ospreys diving for fish, elves working at Santa's shop, monkeys swinging from the trees and the tunnel of lights.

Also going on throughout the month of ZooLights is a variety of weekend activities including: appearances by Santa (Nov. 29 – Dec. 2 and Dec. 20 – 21), ornament decorating (Dec. 6 – Dec. 7 and Dec. 27 – Dec. 28), Art Gone Wild exhibit (Dec. 12 – Dec. 15) and children's "reindeer" games (Dec. 20 – 21).

Admission gates will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Zoo grounds close at 9 p.m.

The Zoo will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. For more information on ZooLights 2013, please visit www.brzoo.org/zoolights or call (225) 775-3877.
