WASHINTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. David Vitter recently announced that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will award an $893,182.10 grant to the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
State and Community Highway Safety Grants are authorized under the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act.
Vitter is the top ranking Republican on the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, which has jurisdiction over transportation and infrastructure policy.
