Seven local children to perform in Baton Rouge Symphony event

Seven children from Plaquemine will be performing as dancers in the upcoming The Nutcracker-A Tale from the Bayou production with the Baton Rouge Symphony.

EVENT:          Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18The Nutcracker – A Tale from the Bayou with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra         called“crown jewel of the Baton Rouge holiday season”

LOCALS PERFORMING: From Plaquemine…Catherine Carline (Cherub), Blythe Hebert (Cherub), Grace Hidalgo (Cherub), Grace Carline (Lamb), Elena Monette (Lamb) Jenna Monette (Lamb), and Olivia Monette (Lamb).

SHOW TIMES:  Shows each day at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

MORE DESCRIPTION: This beloved production features returning world-class guest artist Hiroko Sakakibara Sliva as the Sugar Plum Fairy, award-winning pre-professional corps and soloists, area celebrities, over 300 local children, and a unique south Louisiana flavor. Directors are Molly Buchmann and Sharon Mathews.

STUDENT MATINEE: Will be held Thursday, December 15 at 9:30 a.m. and is open to area schools.
