Iberville chapter of DAR holds meeting at Iberville Museum

A meeting of the Iberville Parish Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was held recently at the Iberville Parish Museum in Plaquemine.

Emily Wilbert presented a National Defense Report about Margaret Cochran Corbin, the first female soldier to receive a pension as a disabled veteran after engaging in battle during the American Revolution.

Veterans Ramona Hudson, Navy veteran, Anna Sanders, Air Force veteran and Shirley Avants, Army veteran, discussed their work and displayed many photographs and other memorabilia of the brave women veterans of the US Armed Forces.
