By His Grace: What is the will of God?

"For this reason, since the day we heard about it, we have not stopped praying for you, asking (specifically) that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom (with insight into his purposes), and in understanding (of spiritual things), so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the lord (displaying admirable character, moral courage, and personal integrity), to (fully) please him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing in the knowledge of God (with deeper faith, clearer insight, and fervent love for His precepts)."

In last week's message, "When obedience leads to a call for revival," we left off with the plan and began with fasting.

I was then reminded by the Holy Spirit it was never fasting that began this incredible journey. It was obedience to the call.

Allow me to share.

It began in late August 2019.

Recall I previously mentioned my personal life had taken on a change of events that can only be explained as God positioned me and I can only arrive to the next level in his plans by staying in his will. When called by God do what is asked and never in haste or murmuring.

My issues were trying to understand in the natural what that may be. How many understand it is not only in the natural where the understanding of the ways and purposes of God is revealed. We are to seek him also in the spirit to receive wisdom and knowledge.?

"In order that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in your knowledge of him. I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints."

The purposes of God became clearer after I prayed (continually for one year) for a unify revival to sweep Terrebonne Parish. I can only assume God had enough of me asking and replied, "You do it!" and my immediate response was OK.

"The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much (when put into action and made effective by God — it is dynamic and can have tremendous power)."

To say I was slightly surprised by this turn of events was an understatement. I was never fearful of the task ahead. I knew without doubt what God authorizes, he also provides.

"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

A few days had passed since given my next instruction. All things move on God's timing and not our own. Learn to wait on him.

"For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it lingers, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."

I was preparing to leave for my lunch break when I heard these instructions: "Drive a complete circle around the east side of Houma, and pray over the area and in the spirit without ceasing." I began and ended at the Dularge Bridge since my place of employment was nearby.

At the conclusion of this assignment I asked the lord why the east side of Houma and not the west?

Reply: "Too many has counted the east side of Houma out as if I have favorites. My love has no boundaries; there should never be any among the Body of Christ. I will set my sight on the east side of Houma and make my presence known." He went on to say, "From the east is where I shall return. All of mankind shall see me."

"For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the son of man."

Immediately upon my return I called my friend Debbie to tell her all that took place. And we began to praise the Lord!

I knew this was bigger than one person could handle. I began fasting to receive further instructions and favor from God.

You may ask how I may come to know the will of God for my life. It begins with a relationship with his son, Jesus.

By your own free will, you accept Christ as lord and savior. Do not allow this moment to pass; tomorrow is not promised.

When you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Please repeat this prayer: "Lord Jesus, forgive my sins I committed against you. I believe Jesus died for my sins and has risen again. Please come into my life and heart and lead the way. I confess you as my lord and savior from this day forward. In Jesus' name, amen."

Welcome into the family of Christ.

Come back next week to discover what happens next. I am just getting started!

Until next week, be blessed and continue to bless others along the way. Go in peace.
