By His Grace: Blessings and love go hand in hand
Imagine what could happen if man decided to love and not hate. What can come of it goes beyond our comprehension.
The world would never be the same. More and more our very nature--the essence of our being--would resemble that of the father in heaven as originally intended.
What hinders this from occurring is the inability to simply love unconditionally. It is all right to agree to disagree respectfully. We are never to allow cultural differences, personal opinions, or offenses of any kind to take root and cause a rift between one another. When we walk in love and not hate we can work together to make a difference.
"In your anger do not sin."
"Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry."
It is time to address the issues of the heart of man. Remember we are only one heartbeat away from eternity. It is important to love as Christ loves and show grace and mercy every chance we get.
"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
In my studies, I desired to know more of Jesus' (in red writing) teachings that were directed to his followers. I was led to read Mathews 5, with the understanding what was taught then on the Sermon on the Mount applies today to you and me. It always amazes me each time when reading a passage of scriptures and something new that was previously missed is revealed. It is vital when reading the word of God you prepare your heart to receive the intent of the message.
Invite the Holy Spirit to be your guide and teacher especially during moments when clarity is needed for better understanding of the word. This will enable your ears to hear from the lord.
As I read of Mathew 5:3-11 it was revealed the nine blessings mentioned can only be achieved when the heart of man is in right standing with God. To see mankind through the lens of Christ the love of God must have its way.
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."
"Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth."
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled."
"Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy."
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God."
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."
"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me."
Have you notice blessings and love are joined together?
Blessings come through obedience. Obedience requires willingness and willingness from want and wants from love. Is this not what Jesus displayed throughout his 3-and-a-half years of ministry before his ultimate act of love by way of the cross. It is from the cross you and me are healed physically, mentally, and emotional and our sins are paid in full. Will you believe and receive this blessing?
"But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed."
Healing in its complete form (wholeness and sound) is required to receive the blessings behind it. What do I mean? Allow me to explain.
Whatever is carried within the heart of man such as anger, anxieties, fear, and lack of forgiveness will manifest itself overtime. These symptoms (undesirable conditions) mentioned are not from God and therefore not healthy for the mind, body, or soul.
As created beings you and I were designed to be the embodiment (representation or expression of something in a tangible or visible form that through Jesus) of the Creator of Heaven and Earth. This would mean the love spoken of earlier is completely possible and whatever healing needed is available to all regardless of past mistakes.
Will you allow the lord to heal that which has been broken within you for way too long? It is time to be a game changer for Christ!
Let’s run this race together.
The rewards awaiting the believers in Christ are his amazing love and eternity with him.?
When you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Please repeat this prayer: "Lord Jesus, forgive my sins I committed against you. I believe Jesus died for my sins and has risen again. Please come into my life and heart and lead the way. I confess you as my lord and savior from this day forward. In Jesus' name, amen."
Welcome into the family of Christ.
Until next week, go in peace. I love you!
