Vallet, Wimpee marry June 6 in Sydney, Australia

Petty Officer Trevor Vallet and wife Brittney Vallet were honored at a reception Feb.15 at the Grosse Tete home of Dave and Virginia Smith following Vallet’s recent return following a tour of duty with the U.S. Coast Guard in the Middle East.
The couple was married in Sydney, Australia, on June 6, 2013 and now reside in Mobile, Ala., where he is stationed as a recruiter.
Other hosts for the event included family and friends of the groom, who presented the couple with a gift certificate from Target and Home Depot.
The bride was attired in her wedding gown and the groom wore his dress uniform.
Décor for house and patio highlighted patriotic and nautical themes and guests were invited to show their support for America’s armed forces by wearing red, white and blue.
The bride is the daughter of Debbie Wimpee, of Punta Gorda, Fla. and James Wall Jr., of Theodore, Ala. She is the granddaughter of Owen and Linda Wimpee, of Punta Gorda, Fla. and James and Barbara Wall, of Theodore, Ala. She is employed as a PACS analyst for Singing River Health System in Pascagoula, Ms.
The groom is the son of Tim and Kendra Wilson Vallet, of Grosse Tete. He is the grandson of Bobby and Valerie Smith Wilson, of Plaquemine and Effie Fontenot Vallet and the late James Norman Vallet, of Maringouin.
