‘Revelry’ set Sunday at Iberville Museum

Staff reports

The Iberville Museum Association will hold a live auction of wreaths for all seasons, a raffle for $1,000 and a silent auction of gift items and services – including a duck hunt and a week-end fishing trip – at its fundraising event from 2-5 p.m. Sunday.

The Association will offer door prizes and refreshments throughout “The Revelry of Wreaths.”

Donors have provided a range of items for this year’s silent auction -- a duck hunt in Krotz Springs for two which includes transportation and breakfast at “The Diner”; an overnight stay in a charming suite at Cabahanosse Bed and Breakfast in Donaldsonville; a week-end fishing trip for four in Grand Isle, including food, lodging and fishing; a “Girls Get-Away” package which includes food and lodging from Friday afternoon through Sunday brunch for up to ten people; jewelry and gift items; garden and household decorative items, and gift certificates to local restaurants and much more.

“We are very pleased with community participation” said event chairperson Madeline Kessler.  “We think we have something for everyone at this year’s “Revelry.”

All auction items can be previewed at the museum during its regular hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Saturday at the museum, at 57735 Main Street.

The museum is accepting early bids on silent auction items at the museum and by phone at (225) 687-7197.

All proceeds will be used to provide programs at the museum, and to further our mission to collect, preserve and present the history and culture of Iberville Parish.
