Suspect wanted in Plaquemine robbery

James Wallace is a suspect wanted in the armed robbery of the Circle K store in Plaquemine on Dec. 11.

James Wallace is a suspect in the armed robbery of the Circle K Store in north Plaquemine on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 8:15 p.m.

The suspect entered the store armed, crossed over the counter, and demanded the store clerk to open the register. The suspect began to take the money himself out of the register and fled the store running toward Jade Drive. An officer and dog were sent in pursuit, but the robber was not found.

After further investigation, warrants have been issued for James Wallace of Plaquemine. His last known address is 58125 Court Street. The suspect is presently wanted on one count of robbery. Also warrants have been issued for several other burglaries of local businesses during and after the storm.

Wallace is a black man, 29 years old, five-foot ten inches in height.
