Chamber seeking help with banquet

The Iberville Chamber of Commerce is looking for donations to a silent auction that will be held with its annual banquet, scheduled January 29 at Nottoway Plantation’s Randolph Hall.

Because of limited space, the Chamber is seeking items with a starting bid of $25 or more, said Membership Director Brenda P. Ourso. Businesses who contribute to the auction will be recognized.

The Chamber will pick up items offered for the auction. The deadline for donations is Friday, January 23.

The Chamber also is looking for sponsors for the banquet. As of last week, A. Wilbert’s Sons had signed up as bronze sponsor.

LSU Baseball Coach Paul Mainieri will be the guest speaker for this year’s event. The chamber also will recognize its volunteers and the year’s accomplishments.
