Plaquemine officials begin new terms

Officials from the City of Plaquemine took office during a ceremony last week at the City Hall. The ceremony included oaths of office for fifth-term Mayor Mark A. “Tony” Gulotta, the members of the Plaquemine City Council, the chief of police and the city marshal.

Gulotta took office for his fifth term as the mayor, while all re-elected city councilmen – Lindon A. “Lin” Rivet Jr., Oscar S. Mellion, Ralph J. Stassi Jr., Michael W. “Mickey” Rivet, Timothy L. “Timmy” Martinez and Jimmie Randle Jr.

Plaquemine Police Chief Orian Gulotta, meanwhile, took the oath of office to begin his third term as police chief.

City Marshal S.J. “Bronco” Wilbert began his next term, while Mackie Guillot returns as fire chief. Shelia H. Migliacio returns as city clerk/tax collector and L. Phillip Canova Jr. continues as city attorney.
