Local doctors taking over River West operations

A POST SOUTH source reported Saturday the same group of doctors who purchased the land on which River West Medical Center stands are in the process of taking over the operations of the local hospital.

A local group of doctors are awaiting approval of U.S. Bankruptcy Court to take over the operations of River West. Court hearings are scheduled later this month to authorize the start of an operations company to run the hospital. The doctors apparently will purchase the daily operations of the hospital from Shiloh Healthcare.

The POST SOUTH is expecting an announcement  from the doctors’ group explaining the procedures and to provide more details on the action tomorrow (Monday, May 4).
