Mr. and Mrs. Timmy W. Wisdom Jr.

Allison Claire Dupont and Timmy Wayne Wisdom, Jr were united in marriage on Saturday, April 25, 2009. The garden ceremony, which took place at the St. Francisville home of the bride’s aunt and uncle, was officiated by Justice of the Peace, Justin Kane Mendoza.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert James Dupont, Jr. of Plaquemine. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert James Dupont, Sr. of Plaquemine and Mr. and Mrs. Fernand Thomas D’Aquin of Baton Rouge.

Arriving to the ceremony in a horse drawn carriage, she was given in marriage by her father. Her strapless ivory silk fairytale gown featured a ruched bodice with a beaded lace appliqué. The full pleated ball gown skirt was adorned with a cascading lace appliqué. The dress featured a corset back with a chapel train. Complimenting her illusion veil was a tiny spray of dendrobium orchids and her bouquet of Vandella roses was made especially for her by her grandfather, Bobby Dupont. She carried handkerchiefs given to her by her maternal grandmother and her paternal aunt. Her garter was a gift from her mad of honor, as was a sixpence for her shoe.

She also wore a sixpence given to her by her maternal aunt. A strand of pearls that belonged to her late paternal great aunt and pearl earrings that were borrowed from her mother completed the bridal ensemble.

Serving the bride as maid of honor was Molly Kathryn McGinnis. Her bridesmaids were Laurie Renee Acosta, Kelly Lynn Sanders and Blakeley Victoria Vicknair. They wore ocean blue strapless silk gowns and carried bouquets of antique green hydrangeas. Mikah Claire Wisdom, Ann Malloy Kimble and Addie Elizabeth Field served as flower girls and threw fresh rose petals as they preceded the bride. As the bride descended the carriage, Kate Field, Maggie Kimble and Mikayla Vicknair attended her train.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timmy Wayne Wisdom, Sr. of Plaquemine. He is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Wisdom and the late Mr. Percy Wisdom and Mrs. Nellie Navarre and the late Mr. Larry Navarre. Travis Dwayne Wisdom served as the best man. Groomsmen included Nicholas Bradford Falcon, Caleb Easley and Dana Lane Mendoza Jr. Serving, as ushers were Robert James Dupont III and Jeffrey Thomas Dupont. Connor James sanders presented the rings from an heirloom pillow. They were attired in black tuxedos and wore white rose boutonnieres.

Immediately following the ceremony, guests enjoyed an outdoor reception with a buffet of Southern delicacies. Noted throughout the home and reception area were vinca, caladiums, verbena, petunias and phaleonopsis orchids, all in shades of white.

The newlyweds now reside in Plaquemine.
