HOMEWARD BOUND: 12&U girls head home after third place finish

Plaquemine IPRD's 12 and under Girls All Stars return home Friday after a third place finish inn the Babe Ruth Softball World Series.

The girls fell 2-0 Thursday to Kinston/Lenoir, N.C. in the third bracket game.

According to the IPRD, Shylar O’Bear was named to the All-Defensive Team, and Shelbi Strickland took the Sportsmanship Award.

Mallory Perrault, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, also received the MVP award in Thursday’s game.
