State police arrest two St. Gabriel oficers

The Louisiana State Police on Thursday arrested two St. Gabriel police officers for allegedly stealing a wallet from a man who died in a traffic accident.

Troopers arrested Rodrick Wesley and Keith Snowten following an investigation that began after the August 8 crash.

The wallet had reportedly been stolen at the scene of the crime by one of the officers, according to Police Chief Kevin Ambeau.

A citizen tipped Ambeau, who turned the matter over to the LSP for investigation.
