College/career fair set next week for local students

The Iberville Parish School System will sponsor a LA Gear Up Explorers Club College/Career Fair for students in seventh through 11th grades from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. next Thursday and Friday (May 6-7) at the Carl F. Grant Civic Center.

More than 650 students involved in learning more about college and careers are the focus. 

Local businesses and industries are invited to participate.

Students are preparing questions for business and college representatives, and teachers have created lesson plans as part of the career development curriculum.
