School Board keeps millages at '10 levels
The Iberville Parish School Board unanimously agreed Monday night to keep its property tax millages at the same rate as this year's levy.
The School Board's levy of 56.66 mills is the highest of any local governing body. It includes a 31-mill tax voters approved two years ago to finance a construction program and academic improvements.
The amount also includes a 3.49-mill constitutional tax, a 6.22-mill maintenance tax, a 4.84-mill special maintenance tax, a 9.33-mill tax for salaries and benefits ad a 1.78-mill tax to support the Optional Education Center, the parish's alternative school.
