District Judge William C. Dupont has sentenced two White Castle men pleading guilty to armed robbery charges to 17 years each in prison, District Attorney Richard J. “Ricky” Ward Jr. reported last week.

Dupont ordered the time with the Louisiana Department of Corrections for Terrance Arnaud, 22, of 31870 Dorsey Drive and Curtis Henry III, 22, of 32720 La. 405.

The judge ordered a five-year sentence, with three years suspended, for Daniel Aughey, 37 of Columbia, Mississippi, who pleaded guilty to simple arson.

Brian Daley, 30, of 20222 Toni Lane, Plaquemine, who pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule II narcotics, drew a two-year prison sentence.

Dupont sentenced three other defendants to serve probation. They were listed as Greg Trahan, 39, of 24590 Pecan Point, Plaquemine, who pleaded guilty to second degree battery; Angela Clouatre, 25, of 58183 Plaquemine Street, Plaquemine, who pleaded guilty to illegal use of weapons, and Lakisha Jones, 34, of 4735 Government Street, Baton Rouge, who pleaded guilty to theft valued at more than $500.

In the court of District Judge Alvin Batiste Jr. (recently bereaved and absent from the bench), a visiting judge handed down a five-year prison sentence to Guadalupe Olivarez, 34, of Kingsville, Texas, who pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, and a three-year sentence to Cedric Rawls, 34, of Houston, who previously pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm in connection with a controlled dangerous substance.

Deandre Carter, 19, of 58710 Annex Street, Plaquemine, who pleaded guilty to possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) and possession of marijuana, was ordered to serve three years in prison.

Judges sitting in for Batiste also ordered probation for four other defendants entering guilty pleas:
