Nottoway, BR Symphony to present “Swingin’ On The Levee” Oct. 24

The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra is planning to step back in time for an evening of dining and dancing at nearby Nottoway Plantation Sunday, Oct. 24. It will be called a night of  “Swingin’ On The Levee”.

Having completed a multi-million dollar renovation in 2009, Nottoway Plantation has been elevated to historic resort status. The Crown Jewel of White Castle will kick off the Oct. 24 fundraising event with open-house mansion tours and cocktails, followed by an elegant dinner prepared by Chef Chris Wadsworth. 

The event will feature cocktail hour performances by the BRSO Chamber ensemble, fireworks, and ballroom dancing to Ned Fasullo’s Fabulous Big Band Orchestra. 

Nottoway characters in period costume are also slated for plantation stories and tours to establish the fall theme.  Sponsorships with grand benefits are available.The evening’s events will begin at 4:30 p.m.
