Part of the opening line of a story on the continuation of voting was dropped during the newspaper's lay-out process, creating a  skewed impression of voting in the Bayou Goula-area School Board district.

The sentence should have read:

“A total of 233 voters turned out Saturday for the first day of early voting, many of them from School Board District L, where incumbent Freddie “Sam” Molden III is being opposed by his sister-in-law Irene Delone Dennis.”

The newspaper regrets the error.
