Banned Book 'read-out' set for Wednesday

The Iberville Parish Library and the Friends of the Iberville Public Libraries are offering the Banned Book Read-Out at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Plaquemine Library as part of Banned Books Week.

The American Library Association established Banned Books Week to emphasize the importance of the freedom to read freely in a democratic society.

Anyone interested in sharing a brief selection from a favorite banned book is invited to join the annual celebration by calling Elizabeth Haynes at 687-2520, Ext. 105.

The public is invited to attend.
