'Spook-tacular' plans laid for Halloween

Pre-teens can get a head start on their Halloween preparations at an Iberville Parish Library program featuring “spook-tacular” crafts and Halloween activities from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Plaquemine Library.

The Iberville Parks and Recreation District again will sponsor “Boo on the Belleview” a safe trick or treat venue for children up to age 10 from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 28, at Belleview District Park. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The event, in its 11th year this year, attracted more than 2,000 children last Halloween.

New or teenagers this year, the library is offering “ghoulish games, freaky fun and frightening food” from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, October 30, at the Plaquemine Library. The Friends of the Iberville Public Libraries is sponsoring the event.

The official hours for Trick or Treat in Plaquemine and around the parish are 6-8 p.m. Sunday, October 31.
