An Iberville Parish grand jury on Friday indicted a Plaquemine murder solicitation and drug charges and a White Castle man on an aggravated rape charge, District Attorney Richard J. “Ricky” Ward Jr.'s office reported.

Michael Creel Jr., 21, of 59250 Belleview Road, is accused of soliciting an undercover drug agent to murder three people, plus three counts each of distribution of a Schedule II Narcotic and possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance (cocaine).

The Law Enforcement Against Drugs (LEAD) Task Force arrested Creel on August 18 in West Baton Rouge Parish. He is being held without bond at the Iberville Parish Jail, and is scheduled to be arraigned before District Judge William C. Dupont on December 2.

Hunter Hymel, 37, of 57755 La. 404, White Castle, was arrested Friday after the grand jury reported his indictment for aggravated rape, according to the report from Ward.

Hymel is accused of raping a juvenile on October 3 in the White Castle area, according to Iberville Sheriff's Capt. Aubrey St. Angelo. The sheriff's office investigated the alleged incident and referred the matter to Ward, who sent the matter to the grand jury.

Hymel posted a $100,000 bond and was freed shortly after his arrest, St. Angelo said.

He is scheduled for arraignment before District Judge Alvin Batiste Jr. on November 30.
