Wilbert named COO at Iberville Bank

Calvin “Pat” Wilbert

Calvin W. “Pat” Wilbert, a longtime officer of Iberville Bank, has been named the bank’s Chief Operating Officer.

Wilbert’s new responsibilities are in addition to his current positions as Executive Vice President and Cashier.

“Pat” has played an important role in helping Iberville Bank grow to become one of the largest community banks in the capital region,” said

John Higdon, President and CEO of A. Wilbert’s Sons Lumber and Shingle Co., the bank’s holding company. “We are very pleased that he has accepted the position  of Chief Operating Officer in addition to his to positions as Executive Vice President and Cashier. His talents and experience will help Iberville Bank continue to offer the strong personal service that makes our community bank so welcoming to customers.” 

Wilbert, a native of Plaquemine and graduate of LSU, has held a number of positions since joining Iberville Bank in 1973. He has also served as a member of the bank’s Board of Directors and serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Vice President of the bank’s holding company, A. Wilbert’s Sons Lumber and Shingle Co.

Wilbert has been married to Kathy Cazes Wilbert for 36 years, and they have two children, Cal and Clare, and two granddaughters.

In business since 1931, Iberville Bank has more than 100 employees, as well as branch offices in the parishes of Iberville, Assumption, Ascension,

East Baton Rouge, Livingston, and West Baton Rouge. The bank has assets of $223 million. Iberville Bank also owns and operates Iberville Insurance Agency, LLC, which provides a wide range of insurance products to area consumers and businesses. 

Iberville Bank has always been an important part of the Wilbert family businesses. Calvin Wilbert continues to serve the Wilbert family as a member of the Board of Managers of A. Wilbert’s Sons, LLC, a family-owned company headquartered in Plaquemine.
