The Plaquemine Police have arrested a Port Allen woman who worked for a career counseling service here with an additional 31 counts each of identity theft, forgery and bank fraud, Capt. Kenneth Payne reported Tuesday.

Janecia R. Fountain, 21, of 758 California Street was arrested in Port Allen in November on charges of using the names, social security numbers and birth dates of more than 20 clients of Iberville Career Solutions to take out 33 temporary loans totaling more than $11,000 in cash.

Payne said Fountain now is being accused of using the same scheme on 31 victims in Plaquemine who had been clients of the now defunct job-search firm
