La. 77 travelers may have delays

Drivers traveling on La. 77 from Indian Village to La. 386 might have short-term delays between now and August 5 while a state contractor improves the road, the state highway department warned last week.

Work began last week repairing the road base in preparation for overlay work, the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) said in a news release.

“Lane closures will be in effect every day work is being done,” the department said. “Flaggers will be stationed at each end of the construction to direct traffic through the work area.”
