Guns, drugs found in Point Clair search; five suspects arrested
Iberville Sheriff's deputies seized 18 guns and some $14,000 worth of cocaine and marijuana in a search at a St. Gabriel last Thursday (January 27), Capt. Aubrey St. Angelo reported.
Five were charged in connection with the search at 4745 Point Clair Road – four at the scene and a fifth man already in jail on state Department of Wildlife and Fisheries charges, St. Angelo said.
“We have dealt with these individuals for quite some time,” he said “...They have been in and out of the system.”
Sheriff's investigators conducted an investigation to support their application for a search warrant, which was signed by District Judge William C. Dupont, the captain said.
Their search of a camper trailer on the property led to the seizure of 18 firearms ranging from assault rifles to shotguns, while a search of the house listed as the address for three of the suspects resulted in the seizure of 138 grams of cocaine and multiple bags of marijuana that appeared to be packaged for street level distribution, St. Angelo alleged.
He listed the five arrested as:
– Dzandrian Tasker, 30, of 4745 Point Clair Road, on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine in excess of 28 grams – and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
– Megan Dangerfield, 30, of 4745 Point Clair Road, possession with intent to distribute cocaine in excess of 28 grams, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
– Kirkpatrick K. Tasker, of 4745 Point Clair Road, possession of a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm. Tasker was already in jail on Wildlife and Fisheries charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, resisting arrest and hunting after hours, St. Angelo said.
– Misti Lambert, 37, of 412 East Caldwell Street, Gonzales, possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II narcotic, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a stolen firearm.
