White Castle man charged with 3rd DWI
The Iberville Sheriff's Office on Saturday arrested Richard T. Wagner, 31, of 56130 La. 404, White Castle, with a third offense of driving white intoxicated and improper lane usage, Chief of Operations Aubrey St. Angelo said.
A deputy patrolling La. 69 reported seeing a pick-up truck weaving in and out of its lane of travel, St. Angelo said. He said when the deputy stopped the truck, he found the driver had bloodshot eyes, that his clothes smelled of alcohol and that he could not pass a field sobriety test.
A Breathalyzer test administered at the jail showed Wagner registered a blood alcohol level of 0.20, well above the 0.08 percent legal limit, St. Angelo alleged.
Wagner was freed later the day of his arrest on a $50,000 bond set by District Judge William C. Dupont, records showed.
