Hunt guard charged with malfeasance

A guard at Hunt Correctional Institute in St. Gabriel was arrested last Thursday on charges of introduction of contraband into a penal institution and malfeasance in office, Chief Criminal Deputy Stephen Engolio said.

David A. May, 24, of 1641 South Harrell's Ferry Road, Baton Rouge is accused to taking pseudo marijuana into the prison for an inmate, Engolio said.

May bonded out of the Iberville Parish Jail on the day of his arrest, records showed.
