CAJUN MUSIC MAKERS…Local Plaquemine Cajun personality Joe Guilbeau, far right, sent us this photograph of his visit in 2009 with famed Louisiana Cajun music Hall of Fame members, from left, Jimmie C Newman, Doug Kershaw, and Jo-el Sonnier. Guilbeau did an interview with the trio for a Cajun publication. Newman played at the Grand Old Opry as far back as 1956. Kershaw became very popular in the 1960-1970s, while Sonnier has been quite popular since the 1990s.
