Early voting to open in April 30 school tax election

Early voting in the April 30 election to decide on a 6.22-mill school maintenance tax renewal will open Saturday, April 16, at the Registrar of Voters' Office, Registrar Melissa S. Bourgoyne announced.

Since there are no run-offs in the City of St. Gabriel City Council elections, the parishwide tax renewal will be the only issue on the ballot.

Early voting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 16, and on Monday through Saturday, April 18-23.
