Plaquemine High 7 on 7 brawl with Woodlawn makes national news

Plaquemine High’s Seven On Seven football workout brawl last week with Woodlawn High (see sports section for details) made national network news in recent days.

A video clip taken by WAFB Channel 9 News followed seconds of the brawl between players of both teams. The video was picked up by ABC News and the Good Morning America Show and shown on national television.

Comments made were “these Louisiana teams” were already playing aggressively in summer workouts and the season has not even begun. Another comment was “not so sportsmanlike”.
