Funeral services for Karen Butler set for Wednesday

Funeral services for Karen Young Butler, 46, wife of Iberville Parish Councilman Salaris Butler of Plaquemine, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday (July 27) at Mt. Zion Baptist Church No. 2 in Plaquemine.

Karen Butler died Friday (July 220 at Baton Rouge Medical Center-Mid City.

She was an employe of the 18^th Judicial District Court's drug court in Iberville Parish and a sergeant first class in the U. S. Army. She had served in the Army for more than 20 years as an active and reserve soldier, including a tour of duty in Iraq.
