City of Plaquemine now on Facebook

The City of Plaquemine is joining the social media revolution via Facebook, announced Mayor Mark “Tony” Gulotta. The city’s new Facebook page will post current information including city news, events, photos, and emergency information.

“We saw from the high water on the Mississippi River that news spreads very fast via Facebook in Plaquemine,” said Mayor Gulotta. “We will use the City of Plaquemine page to get immediate information out to local residents during emergency situations, and will also use it to inform residents about news, events, projects and activities in the city.”

Gulotta urged residents to go to the city Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cityofplaquemine and “like” the page so that they will receive city postings.
