American Cancer Society to held special local event August 5

Preparations are underway for the American Cancer Society’s 2011 Jamaica Me Crazy Westside event, which will take place Friday, August 5 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the Addis Community Center.  This festive event unites the community together for a great time while also contributing to the fight against cancer.

The event will include a silent auction featuring items that have been donated by local businesses, and an array of food, as well as an open bar.  Live music will be provided. 

Tickets are already available. The funds raised at Jamaica Me Crazy Westside supports the American Cancer Society’s mission to create a world with less cancer and a world with more birthdays by helping people stay well, get well, find cures and fight back.
